SOWK 631 : FIELD PRACTICUM II
In this graduate-level course, students will be matched with social work practice settings where they will participate in providing advanced generalist social work services under the supervision of an experienced MSW social worker. Students will accumulate 300 hours of field experience during the semester, and complete assignments to help them make effective use of field supervision, integrate professional knowledge and peer consultation to inform practice decision-making, and develop and meet placement-specific goals spanning 9 core competencies for advanced generalist social work practice.
Prerequisites
Students must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in at least 1 “Areas course” (SOWK 603, SOWK 604, SOWK 605 or SOWK 613, SOWK 614, SOWK 615 or SOWK 623, SOWK 624, SOWK 625).
