SOWK 630 : FIELD PRACTICUM I

In this graduate-level course, students will be matched with social work practice settings where they will participate in providing generalist social work services under the supervision of an experienced MSW social worker. Students will accumulate 300 hours of field experience during the semester, and complete assignments to help them orient to the field setting, make effective use of field supervision, and develop and meet placement-specific goals spanning 9 core competencies for generalist social work practice.

Prerequisites

Students must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in all required generalist courses.
