REN 515 : SHAKESPEARE ACTING FUNDAMENTALS
| This course provides first-year graduate students with the essential tools they will need for the successful physical and vocal embodiment of both Shakespearean language and character. Using soliloquies and scenes, the students will be introduced to vocabulary that they will encounter throughout their S&P experience and will begin mastering corresponding techniques, including Physicalization of Thought, Playing Discovery, and an Introduction to Ensemble Best Practices. For all theater makers regardless of concentration, this class will serve as a deep immersion into the “Performance” aspect of Shakespeare & Performance. |
