ED 615 : GIFTED EDUCATION FIELD EXPERIENCE

For certified teachers seeking an add-on endorsement in Gifted Education, this practicum/field experience includes 45 instructional hours of successful teaching experience with gifted students in a heterogeneously grouped (mixed ability) classroom or a homogeneously grouped /single ability) classroom. Students receive mentored practice in planning, instructing and assessing student learning, developing an understanding of ethical issues and accepted standards of professional behavior. NOTE: Must be fully accepted into the Teacher Education Program and meet CAEP requirements in order to register for this course.
