MUS 245 : INTRODUCTION TO GLOBAL MUSIC (VOYA)
This course serves as an introduction to musical cultures outside the Western European tradition. Through readings, videos, listening assignments, and discussions, students will explore the musical traditions of peoples throughout the world, including African, Southeast Asian, Indian, East Asian, Oceanian, Middle Eastern, Native American, Latin American, and Caribbean cultures. No previous musical experience is expected.
